I purchased a second hand literature book "A raisin in the sun" second hand for $72 thinking that it was a steal of a deal but it was only a steal. Imagine I found out the day after that a new book is $70 at Nigel Khan's. i would like to have back my money

Good morning I write to express my disappointment with the service I received recently at the Independence Square branch of your store. My daughter wrote the SEA exams this year and her books (some new and some 2nd hand) was purchased at Unique in October after the release of results. On 25 Nov. She was reassigned to Holy Name Convent and I visited the store with my receipt and the reassignment letter, simply requesting and exchange of books for her her ones, and to pay the difference. I was told in no uncertain terms by the cashier "we doh do that here". I showed her the letter and the receipt, and also told her that the books were never used because the children were not physically in school, to which she repeated the same thing. I asked for the Manager which she said was busy. I find this to be totally unreasonable and disheartening in light of the fact that just over one thousand dollars was spent at a time when income is crucial. We have all experienced some type of discomfort in one way or another. Having to spend that amount of money again is really hard and I was really hoping that the managment would have been able to make some kind of compromise.I really hope that consideration can be given to my request. I'm not asking for a refund especially as my daughter is in need of books for her new school. I can be contacted at 797-3971 Mrs. Brown.
