Mento Landscape & Paving, Inc. is a full-service landscape and hardscape company based in Braintree, MA. For decades, Mento has been providing superior landscaping and hardscaping services to customers on the South Shore and beyond.

John L. Mento started working in landscaping services in 1967 while attending high school. After graduation from Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst in 1971, he began his own company, Mento Landscaping. He incorporated his business in 1973. Mento’s basic philosophy is the same today as it was back in 1971, to grow the business one satisfied customer at a time.

John has three sons: John, Joseph, and Dan. His eldest son, John, began working at Mento in 1996. Joseph joined the company in 1999, and Dan followed in 2003.

In the late ’90s, John began to see the importance of having a convenient “one-stop shopping” experience for his customers. His sons, John and Joe, developed an asphalt and brick division. These additions provided a wide variety of landscape and hardscape products and services, including design, maintenance, irrigation, stone walls, paver patios, and driveways for residential and commercial clients. Mento Landscape then became Mento Landscape & Paving, Inc.
