In 1966 Deacon Brothers was established as a small installation company dealing mainly with the installation of conveyor systems. The company slowly grew in size, and in February 1973, Midland Handling Equipment Limited was formed to run alongside Deacon Brothers to design and manufacture materials handling equipment for the UK market.
