Commercially savvy, technically astute
About us
Dundas Lawyers has been described as one of the most technologically savvy law firms encountered – this means we are well on our way to achieving our vision for staff and clients. We work hard to automate tasks associated with the practice of law and couple this with deep sector specific industry knowledge. Our real world experience running businesses sets us apart from other law firms. We understand the commercial environment from raising capital to commercialising intellectual property or fighting for your rights. Principal Malcolm Burrows is one of a handful of Australian lawyers that has masters level double business and legal formal qualifications. He is also a former technology entrepreneur and has also held executive level positions in multinational organisations. We actively reward our team for contributing to knowledge management and automation whilst maintaining the focus on customer service. For our clients this means that we aren’t afraid of taking on the challenging work within our specialist areas of practice.

A Landmark Ruling for Transparency in Skincare The Australian skincare industry faces a pivotal moment with a Federal Court ruling against Biologi and Plant Extracts for misleading claims and other deceptive conduct. It has opened so many discussions from brands to manufacturers, regulatory groups, to media agencies and consumers – raising how far reaching this conduct and misstatements can be. This case, spearheaded by my company Native Extracts, exposes the impact of false claims, misleading and deceptive conduct sets a new precedent for taking a stand for our industry’s integrity, emphasizing the necessity of honesty and transparency. The majority of the companies in our industry are working hard and doing the right thing, the ones that aren’t need to be exposed and brough account. As we reflect on this case's impact, it's clear that maintaining ethical practices is not just a regulatory requirement but a cornerstone of responsible business, respect for upholding our industries standards, and to restoring consumer trust. NATIVE EXTRACTS took a stand to protect their business and for the industry. Let this be a call to action for our industry and others to have the conversations that will bring about the change. For us this case was paving the path for truth and transparency, which side of the truth you stand for is up to you. Here is an article we had sent us from an industry spokesperson following the case......let's keep the discussions going ...
