Do not hire these folks! Although their web-site says one thing and lists the services provided, they actually do NOT do much of anything. I called them out to clean my chimney and when they got here they just inspected the flue and then refused to clean it. Stating another crew does the cleaning. Charged me $250 for an inspection only. Called another company and they came out inspected everything AND cleaned it for less than $200! And they even found a couple safety issues that Masters Services did not see!
This company is a total scam!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ron G.Baton Rouge, LA01Feb 19, 2024
Well my wife did everything as far as the internet goes and though she was picking the best company for the service she needed. But needless to say it was more to it. She called and scheduled a date for them to come out and give estimate on our fire place. Excited since we haven't used in in over 15 years. So first. Well they sent a salesman out to look at the chimney, roof and assured me everything looked good and didn't need much work. YEA!! finally she thought. Even paid a $800 and some odd dollar amount deposit so that they could get started. Well before the day came she called them that she had changed her mind and wanted to upgrade to gas log, being that the price was in our range. Well when the day came the guys called to let me know they was on their way after the inpected for a second time he told me that the work could not be completed less known start on it because of rust he found and a whole lot more which made the cost go from $2200 to $10,000. How could one inspection miss so much. And I still dont know where my $560 went to . The one good thing that came out of this is the guys who actually came out to do the work. Took me and my family's safety first and not just about making money. ( Don't send a salesman out to do a contractor job). No fireplace, No refund and just all around disappointed in the company way of handling business. Lots of promises, but costly result. Find someone else. Not trustworthy

I called for a chimney inspection and sweep. They did arrive on time and the gentleman was friendly and respectful of property. He did a visual of the roof and chimney cap then came inside to do the inspection. He did not complete the visual camera inspection stating it was too dirty to continue. He then told me that the flue was to dirty to sweep that it had to be cleaned using a chemical treatment and quoted me $1500. The fireplace (prefab unit) and flue is 2 years old and used on and off for to winters. We didn't use the fireplace a lot, just to support the electric heat during really cold day we were home. Then charged me $250 for the partial inspection and no cleaning.... As soon as he left I called 2 other local chimney sweep companies and they both said, in no uncertain terms, that there was no way that chemical cleaning was necessary and both gave me a quote for a COMPLETE inspection and ACTUAL chimney sweeping for less than $200.
Do NOT call these people for anything!! I cannot believe they actually charged me $250 for a PARTIAL inspection and no cleaning! Insane!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - U P.Allen, TX098Oct 31, 2022
I would never ever hire this company again. This company will make your life miserable and cause you a lot of unnecessary stress. If you hire this company, please make sure you can go to top of the roof and inspect their work once it is done. If there was zero star, I would give zero star to this company. Initially, they send couple great employees to inspect the chimney and give an estimate which makes one think that he or she is hiring a great company. However, the work they do can be better by ten years old. This company provides bad quality of work and poor workmanship and they make a lot of excuses and false statements. Again, please make sure you can inspect their work if you hire this company. I would not give them a single penny until they finish the work and it is inspected by the home owner. I found many mistakes and damages to my existing shingles. Be very careful.

Masers services installed a Chimmy cap that fell after the first windy day. They failed to inform the customer that the mortar around the cap was dry a cracking and would not hold. If they " the professional installer " would have told me, before they installed the Chimmy cap I would have had them fix it. They didn't and it fell on the first windy day. Now they want $ 1000.00 dollars to come back and fix it.

I scheduled a chimney inspection, chimney sweep, and chimney cap estimate. My chimney was leaking and they repaired it quickly before the rain today. The new chimney cap looks so much better. I highly recommend them.

My 76 old mother called Master Services Inc to purchase gas fire logs. While on the call they recommended a chimney inspection which she agreed. She later received an appointment for installing the "gas logs" per the description of the appt and what she thought was getting installed. They did the chimney inspection then recommended she replace the entire chimney cap at $4k. That's when she reached out to me for advice. I had her tell the inspector to call me. The inspector said the existing chimney is fine per code, but they always recommend upgrading if they see a reason. I declined the $4k chimney cap since not needed and said just to install the fire place logs. That's when he told me they were on backorder for 3-6 months. They sold my 76 year old mother a $250 inspection plus an entire chimney cap replacement for $4k before ever telling her the logs that she thought she was getting that day were on backorder. The logs and burned kit would not be available until after the winter. I was furious and told them not to do anything and we would get logs elsewhere. The manager, Cody, called later asking if there was a problem. I explained my disappointment in what my mother was put through and he apologized then said my mom still owed the $250 for the inspection. I explained there never would have been an inspection if she would have been told they had no logs and she shouldn't be charged due to misleading her. Cody then said they had a recording of her accepting the inspection and would put a lien on her house if she didn't pay. I responded they cannot upsell her multiple services on a product they don't have unless they tell her in advance there is a 3-6 month backorder which she claims they never did, and I would like to listen to the recording to confirm. There's no mention on their website of a backorder, not on the appointment saying "fire logs" nor in the phone call. Cody said he would send the recording, but we still have not received it after asking over 5 times, however, they did send her an invoice for the $250. Master Services uses misleading sales tactics that take advantage of elderly people, and if anyone else has encountered this please speak up to help protect other elderly people. It is shameful and possibly illegal.

We hired this company to do an inspection of our fireplace and chimney.
Happy with the service, we gladly hired this company for other services including cleaning the chimney, repairing the grate, repairing the refractory panels, repairing the gas pipes and designing a brand new "look" to our fireplace.
Some mistakes were made initially, but the owner Chad and manager John did everything they could to fix the mistakes and make sure our fireplace and chimney was not only safe, but BEAUTIFUL.
Master Services stands by its service, and does everything necessary to make sure they are the gold standard in the industry.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 12, 2019Previous reviewWe hired this company last week for a chimney inspection. The inspector was great and we went ahead and hired the company for additional services.
Specifically, we hired the company to do:
- Gas Log Refurbish - Clean out all existing gas log misc,. Paint grate, new sand, new green embers, new lava, enhanced embers, and the labor
- Chimney Sweep - -Chimney Sweep when the chimney is either deemed to be up to code or has been brought up to code with necessary work done. Sweep the flue only of any fire hazardous soot. All loose soot will be removed. Note, any ashes from previous fires will not be cleaned out by Masters Services and will be left behind. Any stage 3 cresote present is not part of this type of sweep service.
We were advised that a technician would be at our house between the hours of 11 AM and 1 PM today, Saturday, January 12, 2018.
We never received a call from anyone at the company to confirm the appointment. We called on our own at 11:30 am and were advised that our appointment was confirmed but the technician was running late.
At 1:00 PM we were advised by a technician Adam that he would NOT be coming out to our location due to missing parts.
At 1:00 PM we were advised by a clerk Madeline that she would have to reschedule the appointment because they were missing parts. Madeline advised that she found out from Adam that the parts were never in this morning at all.
No one from the company attempted to call us to reschedule despite knowing they would not be able to complete the job.
At 1:06 PM we were advised by a clerk Madeline that they would be getting the parts back in later this afternoon and could still complete the job. When asked about what time the technician would be coming, Madeline said she could not give us a time frame.
They hold themselves out as focusing on timeliness, professionalism and meeting all of their customers needs.
Unfortunately, TIME is one of those rare items that you can never get back. We have a family and setting aside time for services is hard to do. The respectful, professional thing to do here would have been to notify us ahead of time, at the point SOMEONE was aware they were not going to services our account, so that we did not have to waste our entire Saturday morning and afternoon waiting on this company to perform services already contracted for.
Now we are advised that we can set up another date for services in the future (where we will have to set aside more TIME to wait on performance of the agreement) or wait all day today without any confirmation of an exact time for the services to get rendered this evening.
We are beyond frustrated and will not be recommending this company in the future. - Matt M.Oklahoma City, OK133736162091Jun 18, 2018

Master Services did a good job fabricating my custom chimney cap to specifications. Could they have been built it straighter and handled it with care so that there were no scratches in the paint present? Sure they could, but for the quality of the materials and price it the cap, I was satisfied. It met my needs and honesty who is going to notice the minor flaws besides me and the birds? I will say that the customer service provided by Abby was great. She kept in contact via email and phone to make sure my cap was built to fit.
