We all run into bumps on the road of life. “Bumps” – like life transitions, conflict (with ourselves or others), questions about identity, experiences of loss or sudden crisis – may cause you confusion, stress and pain. Your old coping strategies and behaviors may no longer produce good results, and you may need to change in new and unfamiliar ways in order to be successful, peaceful, productive and happy. Whether the stress you are feeling is due to predictable or surprising changes in your life, it is understandable. The good news is, it can be managed and mastered!

The pain of change and loss is real, and it can be serious. It is important to find a trustworthy therapist with whom you feel safe and connected, someone who cares for you and works to protect you from further harm while helping you to move forward.

I am a therapist who strongly believes in your ability to adapt and grow and, with a little help, to recover from the difficulties you face. Maybe you are experiencing a crisis. Maybe you simply “don’t feel like yourself” and need a place to find yourself again. I welcome clients who feel confused or challenged by their behaviors or moods and who are negotiating life transitions. These transitions or challenges may include changes in your job or financial status, new medical diagnoses, grief or loss, changes in relationships, or your sense of yourself.
