This was my first time here. I wear a duty belt and vest with about 20 lbs of gear everyday, so lower back problems over time isn't uncommon. I was thoroughly impressed by the office setup and recovery portion. I spent about an hour in total going through the recovery portion before getting my adjustment. After my adjustment, I got great relief from sharp lower back pain, was able to bend down to touch my toes (not bake to before this session), and have maintained my stretches Doc gave me to prevent future back issues. Dr. Ash took GOOD care of me and his staff was very friendly, professional, and warm toward me.

Omg! So I came in with this horrible back pain that i had been having for three weeks. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I came here to see if a chiropractor could help me. 2 days later and my back pain is almost gone I have two more sessions to go and I'm confident that my back will be 100% when I'm dine. 10/10 recommend totally worth your time and $

Did my treatment for back and shoulder pain with Dr. Ash. I can't say enough good things about my experience with him and his staff. All around great guy and amazing chiropractor!
I highly recommend if you need his services. I feel like a new man. And it was an all around treat for me and my body.

Editing my comment after Dr. Ash's response:
So Dr. Ash privately reached out immediately after I posted this (calls which I didn't feel comfortable picking up and then a text) and claimed that he was shocked that I mistook his comment as I did and was just trying to help (no idea how he thinks it would!) That and his response to my review below confirm my decision to leave his practice.
I won't respond point by point to that public response, but I will say, 1) it is an entirely inaccurate description of my visit, 2) VIOLATES MY PRIVACY RIGHTS UNDER HIPAA by disclosing details of my visit without my authorization, and 2) frankly, just confirms his poor patient care if he will treat patients differently if they are late (my "rudeness" was my 2 attempts to approach the receptionists and simply check in and anxiously apologize for being late!!) and if giving me a hand-out of stretches is considered "going above and beyond" and not standard care.
So I had originally written that if you're ok with being medically gaslit or dismissed, you should see Dr. Ash...to that I'll add, if you're also OK with the possibility that he'll share your protected health information if you dare to post a negative review!
--
I saw Dr. Ash for two sessions. I was looking for adjustments for multiple herniated discs in my neck after a car accident, which are known to cause radiating pain in the arms/hands.
When I told him that, after our first session, I had experienced new pain in my hand while exercising (and I had never experienced pain there before,) he immediately dismissed it, said that the pain was from exercising without even evaluating me, and said that my problem was actually that I was too in tune with my body, and that if I paid attention to every little soreness and pain, I'd drive myself crazy. (He actually said it would drive him crazy, and then claimed that I misheard him. Freudian slip? Either way, not something you want to hear from your healthcare provider!)
I'm still close enough to the car accident (less than 6 months) where new symptoms DO come up, and regardless, being told by a chiropractor to ignore my body's reactions was shocking -- and the opposite of good care.
To be clear, it's fine to address my concerns and tell me not to worry about a particular symptom -- if I've actually been evaluated rather than as a knee-jerk response as it was in this case -- but to be told by a healthcare provider to just ignore symptoms is a huge red flag never to come back.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Dear Eileen,
We deeply regret your decision to leave a negative review and we would like to provide clarity regarding the situation. We acknowledge that you arrived 20 minutes late to your appointment, and despite the delay and your rudeness towards our team members, we made every effort to accommodate you. Our doctor went the extra mile to see you and even took the time to provide you with stretches and investigate why you had not experienced improvement since your accident six months ago.
During your second visit, the doctor aimed to spend additional time with you to identify potential external factors that might be affecting your progress. You had mentioned experiencing numbness in your hands due to a recent workout, and after further discussion, the doctor determined that improper workout technique might be hindering your recovery. The doctor simply advised you to take it easier during your workouts, as it appeared to be a common factor contributing to your slow progress. It is important to note that the doctor's intention was not to "gaslight" you, and we are unsure of what you mean by that term.
We find your review frustrating because our doctor genuinely cares about your well-being and was committed to providing the best possible care. It is disheartening that you chose to leave a review without discussing your concerns with us directly. It is also essential to understand that we are not the sole reason for the prolonged pain you have experienced. As you mentioned, it was only your second visit, and there is a six-month history to consider in order to determine the appropriate course of action.
We attempted to reach out to you to address your concerns, but unfortunately, you did not respond to our attempts. We are uncertain about your expectations, but we sincerely wish you the best of luck in finding the resolution you seek. - Bryan W.Los Angeles, CA01Jul 15, 2023
Let me tell you, believe these reviews. There are that many 5 star reviews for a reason.
Words can't express how grateful I am to have found such a great practice. Friendly staff and Dr. Ash is awesome. Very knowledgeable and you can tell he wants to help.
I majorly injured my lower back. Spent months trying to let it heal/stretching it out. Went to the doctor twice. Nothing helped. It actually got worse. Everything hurt. Couldn't sit, couldn't stand, couldn't sleep.
I was honestly a little apprehensive at first about going to a chiropractor because I knew that every time I popped my back, it made it worse. So the idea of having someone else pop it for me freaked me out. But it was the best decision I ever made. Three visits in and I could see a big difference. Months of pain and he fixed it in two weeks.
If you have any back pain, do yourself a favor and visit the Chiro Guy. Worth every penny.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vincent K.Venice, Los Angeles, CA55168Jun 26, 2023

Dr. Ash is very caring and overall just a great person. His receptionist Lily was so nice and accommodated my schedule as well. This was my first time seeing a chiropractor and it was an amazing experience.

I came to Dr. Ash unable to turn my head to the left without pain. He fixed me right up. I then proceeded to get into more back and neck pain struggles when I was involved in a collision playing soccer. He fixed me right up once again. I am now 100% and pain free in my back and neck. I can't say enough how much I recommend Dr. Ash.

Ash is lying in his response. I never asked for free services. I think they changed locations. I got a frightened phone call from his assistant who answers phones saying that if I don't take the review down she'd be fired. It was fully insane. He charged a lot and I didn't feel his place was professional. He wallpaper positive Yelp reviews around his office. It was very strange.

This review was from 2 years ago but this customer decided now to change it to a 1-star rating. The reason for their negative review was due to a delay in returning their phone call. At the time, we were experiencing phone issues and had informed the customer that we would call them back within 15 minutes, but unfortunately, we were able to return their call after 30 minutes. The customer expressed dissatisfaction with having to wait an extra 15 minutes and subsequently left a negative review.
Our doctor took the time to personally call the customer to explain the situation and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay. However, it appeared that the customer was primarily interested in complaining and receiving compensation for their wait time.
We encourage other Yelp users to review this customer's other reviews to gain a more complete understanding of their interactions with other businesses. It is worth noting that in our 15 years of operation, this individual remains the most unreasonable customer we have encountered.Mar 31, 2021Previous reviewTrying to get a hold of the office is near impossible. They have an over complicated system. I had to call many times. There is a recording that says "leave a message" and then disconnects you. They say you can book online, but there doesn't seem to be a way to book massage online. Not that I found so I had to call. I got a hold of the receptionist and apparently the office number transfers to her cell phone. She was not in the office and said she'd call me in 10-15 mins. She called me after 30 mins but by then I wasn't near my phone. After the initial 10-15 min wait I started calling her and getting no response and disconnects . Finally after an hour of all of this I got to make an appointment. It shouldn't be this complicated though and will make me consider going elsewhere in the future.

I've been seeing Dr.Ash for a little over a month now and am very pleased with the progress. Not only does he do great adjustments but also incorporates different therapies that work great. He puts a lot of effort in his care and assesses how you are improving and what he can do to further improve. Office is super clean and has lots of high tech equipment and therapies. Definitely recommend him for any chiropractic needs!
