Mission And Vision

The mission of Shining Stars Montessori Academy Public Charter School is to offer a quality Montessori education infused with culturally inclusive principles to guide children to develop to their fullest potential. The vision of the founders of Shining Stars Montessori Academy is one that seeks to alter the educational outcomes of children living in Washington, DC, thereby positioning them for future success. In keeping with our mission, we will strive to nurture the genius of all the children who come through our doors, guiding them in the principles of the Montessori approach.

SSMA 2024-25 Enrollment

Thank you for your interest in Shining Stars Montessori Academy! We look forward to sharing information about our Academy with you and learning more about your child and family throughout the application process.

Enrollment Saturday - April 27, 2024
We will be participating in Enrollment Saturday to provide an opportunity for families to complete enrollment outside of regular school hours. Staff will be available to assist returning and new families' parents with enrolling for the 24-25 SY.

Join Shining Stars Montessori Academy's Family Market! SSMA has partnered with the Capital Area Food Bank to offer monthly distributions of nutritious groceries to members of the Shining Stars Montessori Academy community free of charge.
