Directions

From 394/12 take the 101 exit north. Turn left on 19th Ave N. Turn right on Merrimac Ln N. Turn right into the parking lot for building 2050. Drive around the building to the east side (Facing Hwy 101).

64 yr. old. I have always had a significant gap between my lower front teeth. But, last few years, my tongue seems to be too large to even fit in my mouth. Even when relaxed, there's some pressure against the back of my teeth, and now my teeth have increased the gap, as well as caused them to lean outward. I now have a retainer, at least for the lower teeth. As per dental xrays, the bone in my lower jaw has degraded. I have had quite a few tests on thyroid, so don't think that's it. Help! Ideas?

Thank you all. It is most interesting to get a variety of views, which I will continue to investigate. The initial inquiry on the DoctorBase site had a limit of characters, so I was not able to describe my situation any further. My lower teeth have been widely spaced since they came in, but I have noticed that they have spread further over the last several 5+ years. I am not missing any teeth, except for the wisdom teeth that were removed when I was twenty. I have had my teeth cleaned regularly, and there does not seem to be any gum disease. I am always complimented by hygienists and dentists for keeping my teeth so clean. I have had complete x-rays. They show bone loss in the jaw. I just got a new set made, and hope that in viewing comparisons of those from a few years ago that bone loss has not continued. I will see what my dentist says. I am located in Minneapolis, MN.
