JPPC owns a base-load 60 MW Heavy Fuel Oil-fired generating facility located on the east side of Kingston, Jamaica. Its sole business is power generation and the sale of wholesale electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the public utility company, Jamaica Public Service Company Ltd. The plant commenced operations on January 6, 1998.
