I'm Reminiscing on say around 1989 thru 1999 just before I migrated to the USA. I was then a Million Dollars Roundtable achiever at Impact Technology, an Industrial and household chemical solutions company. My relationship with Mr. Samuel Smiley was remarkable. Thanks to his professional business ethics, I must have bought no fewer than 9 vehicles for personal use, and recommended friends who enjoyed the same level of service. First Choice Auto was and always will remain in my memory! Sam and I weren't just reciprocal business buddies, (he'd purchase chemicals) but friends. Many evenings we'd be the last to leave the business as I assisted in locking the gates. Fond memories indeed! He, Sam is blessed! Once after we chit chatted and locked up, Sam placed the day's sale on top of the gate post while he fastened the lock. We both forgot that deposit right there the whole night. It was next evening that Mr. Smiley told me God kept it, night dew wet,softened bag and all until next morning he found it. Imagine along Hagley Park Road with all that foot traffic, yet no one took it. Goes to show that God protects His children's property and also that Sam was doing so well, he forgot several thousand dollars deposit, went home, slept and then remembered. Shout out to you Mr. Samuel Smiley, Derrick Thomas here sir....smile!
