Sterling Products Limited was incorporated as a Public Limited Liability company on October 15, 1954. In 1998 the Beharry Group of companies acquired majority shareholding in the company. It has since grown to become the largest edible fats and oil operation in Guyana and one of the largest local manufacturer of ice cream.

Sterling Products Limited specializes in the manufacture and distribution of cooking, reduced fat and all purpose margarines, ghee, shortening, butter, ice cream, soap, hand dishwashing liquid, powder and liquid detergents. The company is also the authorised distributors of Flavorite products
