We are the most northern school in Canada, located in Grise Fiord on the southern tip of Ellesmere Island. The community of Grise Fiord has about 130 residents. Our school has about 34 students and 8 staff.

Our mission at Umimmak School is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where students feel welcomed, respected and appreciated. Through their schooling, we hope they will learn skills and strategies for life-long learning.
