Position: Technical Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Technical Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our fiber optic network operations, ensuring seamless functionality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the growth and success of our company in the fast-paced telecommunications sector by hiring, training, evaluating, and overseeing work schedules of technical staff, as well as contracted installers.

Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating and supervising technical staff.
- Troubleshoot and insure repair of FTTH & Wireless Internet systems, make necessary system adjustments and respond to customer inquiries.
- Ensure compliance in all systems of FCC, ICU, and OSHA performance standards.
- Oversee installations and trouble inquiries for adherence to technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and customer support to address technical issues and support project deployments.
- Manage inventory of equipment, tools, and materials necessary for network operations, ensuring adequate supply levels and timely procurement.
- All other duties as assigned or required.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years experience as a Lead Technician with familiarity with all FTTH technical jobs.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring and diagnostic tools to analyze network performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Valid drivers license required; satisfactory driving record without major violations.
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- Willing to be on call for a week in a scheduled rotation.
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Certifications or similar credentials are a plus.
- Supervise and lead a team of tower climbers and technical staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project deadlines.
- Coordinate and schedule tower climbing activities, equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our wireless infrastructure.
- Develop and implement operational procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan and execute tower installations, upgrades, and modifications according to specifications and timelines.
- Train and mentor climbing teams on safe climbing techniques, equipment usage, and maintenance procedures, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Manage inventory of climbing gear, tools, and materials, ensuring adequate supply levels, and proper maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work activities, safety inspections, equipment maintenance records, and incident reports.
