We believe that learning music should be fun and engaging rather than a slog that feels disconnected from the way modern students experience music. Classical music has as much currency for most students as classic literature. That is not to say that we don't want them to enjoy such works; we recognize these are destinations for where we want to help students arrive. By keeping students enjoying their lessons all throughout the journey, today's pop music can lead naturally into Mozart, Beethoven, or Satie. Students at Treblemakers are always encouraged to participate in their lesson planning so that they feel empowered in the learning process. From the very first lesson we instill the understanding that music literacy is an important part of learning music, but we want to make sure it's engaging as well, so we use online and offline sight-reading tools that feel like games to our students while building and growing the skills that will help them develop a solid musical foundation.

Susan and Anthony have built a wonderful business in Treblemakers. As a professional musician and composer, I have a fairly high standard and high expectations for the musical training of my daughter. Treblemakers has exceeded those expectations. Susan not only teaches singing; she teaches *music*. Her lessons focus on the fundamentals of musicianship while maintaining my daughter's interest with fun exercises and great song choices. All the while, Anthony runs the office with aplomb, always communicating with the parents and keeping on top of the scheduling. We're extremely pleased to have found this wonderful company.

Our kids have been taking piano lessons with Suzan at Treblemakers for a few years. Suzan is the most amazing piano teacher, musician, and mentor. My kids love her! She creates special programs to suit the interests of the student but insists upon building core competencies such as reading music, scales, singing/comping, etc. Our friends' kids have Alexandra and love her as well.
The students in the program are comfortable playing jazz, classical, pop, rock, etc. and aren't stuck in one genre. Treblemakers tailors the program to your kid's interests so you can request any song and they will work out appropriate arrangements. But don't worry - the teachers at Treblemakers all have been trained at the top music schools and have the chops to teach very difficult classical and jazz pieces as well. Most programs will not have the breadth that Treblemakers provides. (Kids can also learn a multiple instruments as well.)
Suzan wrote her own method books that have great catchy tunes and they layer and layer until kids gain all the core skills including scales, chords, arpeggios, major/minor, etc. Then all of sudden the kids are really ready to play anything...
Treblemakers is a family business with scheduling run by Anthony who also inspires the children, has a deep interest in the education of all students, and always makes sure the kids and parents are happy and reaching goals. We highly recommend Treblemakers and know that our kids will have the love of music and all the skills needed to enjoy playing music for the rest of their lives.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
