This is a review for a first time customer.
I called to have someone come out to see if my AC Unit was leaking water inside and outside of the home due to a mosquito problem we are having on the side of the house where the AC is.
A technician showed up within an hour of my call. He called to notify he was on the way. He arrived and provided exceptional customer service. And, nothing was wrong!

you guys! I called SFV around 5 pm today and they gave me an appt for tmw morning, however, an hour later (6 pm) I got a call from Arthur saying that he was available tonight!
umm yes! please! and thank you!!!!
by 7 pm Arthur was here and on the job! by 8, my ac was working!!! he had to replace the contractor and something else I forget but I'm just happy that it's all fixed and working at a reasonable price! fast and reasonable, you can't beat that!
it was also helpful that he was super nice and familiar with our nest because the last guy was NOT and like refused to fix it.

I took down my original review of this company earlier this year and have lived to regret it....so far....read on for the shocking details. Do yourself a HUGE favor and read my original review as well as this update. Unless you want to waste thousands of dollars ($14,264 in my case!) or enjoy putting your life and/or sanity on the line, stay very, very, VERY far away from this company
I have had nothing but problems since I hired this company to install new ducts and a brand new HVAC system in my house. While they can clean a duct, replace a part, or program a thermostat with relative ease, they DO NOT have the skill, expertise, or professionalism to design, install, and troubleshoot a new HVAC system. I took down my original review because their general manager Adam implored me to do so, promising to address all my outstanding issues. The joke was on me! Suffice it to say, this company simply cannot get their act together. They are uncouth, unethical, unprofessional, and now CRIMINAL as well.
After the last appointment that was missed, wherein I stayed home from work all day for no one to show up, I decided to put my original review back up and I am putting up this update to let everyone know that Adam the general manager left a voicemail and THREATENED me and my business for putting my review back up. When their other general manager Brenda Padilla heard this she tried to smooth things over, but of course I refused to let these shysters back into my home. I was scared for my life, and Brenda tried to "reassure" me that Adam would never physically hurt me, that he probably only meant that he would sue me. As if that made things better!!?? Last I checked, you can't sue someone for telling the TRUTH. In a final grasp at a straw, Brenda then encouraged me to get estimates for the remaining issues from another HVAC company and forward them to her, implying that she would take steps to remedy the costs. As is typical for a company with absolutely no scruples whatsoever, she never replied, just another in a long line of emails and calls that went ignored (see original review).

I'll quote his last line: ".....Hopefully, you'll remove it at the end of the day today. If not, so I'll just take it as personal. We'll just go from a different direction." Your guess is as good as mine as to what he was trying to imply by a "different direction." I have a few ideas myself, none of them good. I am in the process of determining what other action I can take against this sham of a company.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 9, 2018Previous reviewIt has been one headache after another since I hired SFV HVAC to install a whole new HVAC system in my house. I rue the day I ever agreed to do business with them. Let me set the scene for you. First red flag was that their abatement crew showed up a whole day earlier than scheduled. I wish I had heeded that initial sign more intently. During my job, their production manager quit. The day after my job finished, the head installer quit. Two weeks after my job, the sales manager who sold me the system himself quit. Ominous signs of a crumbling company indeed! Since then, I have had the pleasure to deal with one Johanna Arias in the office, who won't return my calls. Conveniently, she has always "just stepped out of the office" every time I call and any time I actually get an email from her it always comes with some excuse that she had a "family emergency" or she was "out of town" or "out on a project" or yadda yadda yadda. I didn't realize office managers were so hands-on out in the field, Johanna, and for weeks at a time at that!
I paid over $12,000 for a system that still does not work properly. The back of the house is freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer even though the system is running all day. After months of wrangling, Johanna FINALLY sent her duct specialist back to my house and he told me point blank that he understands what the problem is and that he would not have designed my system like that. In the back of the house two return ducts were placed right next to supply vents so basically any heated/conditioned air that is exiting the supply vent is being sucked right back up by the return duct instead of being properly distributed. I'm no genius, but that makes perfect sense now why it's so cold in the winter and hot in the summer back there even while the system is running. Their original installation crew made mistakes. I get it. People do. How they resolve the mistake is what makes the difference in the end. The specialist told me he would have to come back to correct everything and that he explained to Johanna what needed to be done when he got back to the office, but she has yet to reach out to me, has yet to approve anything, has yet to schedule anything despite my numerous follow-ups. The air distribution is so uneven that it gets so hot in one of the front rooms with the heat on that the fire alarm goes off while the back of the house is still frigid. I know it sounds preposterous. I think even Adrian their duct specialist doubted me until the alarm went off while he was here after he turned the heat on as a test.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have been trying to get the issues with my system fixed for MONTHS. I started in mid-2017. It is now almost Februrary of 2018!!! Johanna's manager Adam is no better. It's so true that incompetence starts at the top and I see where she gets it from. Johanna told me multiple times her general manager Adam would be reaching out to me directly. I have yet to hear a peep from this Adam person.

They charged me $12,000...air conditioner and heater have not worked properly since installation. Heater would overheat and not reach desired temp, AC would defrost and leak all over my floors. Sent more than 15 incompetent techs who couldn't fix the problem. No return phone calls, constant change of staff and management. Lies, lies, lies!!! Other companies that came to look at the unit stated wrong size unit for my house and bad installation. I ended up being the bigger person and letting them take back their piece of junk. Lesson learned! The owner was notified of the problem, and wouldn't make things right!

The good news is they are very interested in having the highest yelp review possible. As a result, management promptly contacted me regarding my experience and without hesitation offered me a full refund which I received right away. They also assured me they took corrective measures with the technician - providing him with more training so he can improve. I appreciate their response.
The bad news is to get to the great customer service you have to deal with the run around in the first place.
Working in the service industry is a challenge and all you can do is your best and they certainly did theirs in making their yelp review the highest it can be but it results in a win-win so I'm not mad about it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 10, 2018Previous reviewI feel like I got scammed.
Had an appointment for an 8-12 window (what are they a cable company?). Then, I got a call that they needed to "push my appointment window out a little"...ok that's fine, that happens. They "pushed it" to 1-5pm. Umm, that's literally an ENTIRE day not a "little" push.

Alfredo from SFV HVAC was fantastic. We had a smart thermostat we wanted installed, and he showed up on time and knocked it out quickly and easily. Took the time to explain exactly what would be done before starting the job, gave me updates during (especially since this is an old house with an old heating/cooling system), and then went over the ins and outs of the new thermostat.
And not one to overlook details, the fact that he donned booties before coming inside was much appreciated, what can I say.

Our A/C went down yesterday so needed it fixed quickly due to the hot weather.
I called and spoke with someone who was able to set up an appt for first thing this morning, which was great.
Sergey called me at 8:00am to tell me he could be over in about 15min, and he arrived right on time.
We discussed the issues and he went up on the roof to take a look at the unit and determined that it just needed freon re-charging which he was able to take care of quickly.
Was a great experience, very professional and I'll definitely be using them in the future.

Art was awesome! At first, he put me to work and I was like, errr, isn't that why I hired you? . But I am forever grateful that he did, and he only asked me to change filters which was an easy task. Art spent the time to educate me about my own system, and I really appreciate that! Art took the time to diagnose the problem. He was very thorough. He even made sure that any smudge he may have caused was wiped clean
