Solid 4 star sushi pick in Colorado.
Being from So Cal I doubt I'll ever be able to find sushi in Colorado as good as it is from my hometown or other places right on the ocean.
With that being said, this place does do a good job in satisfying my cravings. The heaven and hell roll was our favorite roll.
The place itself is very large with plenty of room for seating. There's also lunch sushi specials on basic rolls. Our service was good, our waitress checked on us multiple times.
Overall, not a bad place, I could potentially come back but I'm still trying to find a place that hits a 5 star.
Still good, recommended.

Lots of good special rolls. Tuna Lover's, and Heaven and Hell roll are consistent favorites. Good service. Plenty of parking and seating compared to most other good options around the city, so for the west side, a great pick.

I am officially a fan of this place. My boyfriend and I went on a last minute late night date and we literally walked in 30 minutes before they closed. We were super apologetic and offered to leave but the lady inside insisted that we stayed. It was a slow night and we were the only ones there but they made sure to give us the best service and prepare our food quickly. Everything was super good and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing for a date night. I loved their sushi and of course my boyfriend and I got gyoza too. Absolutely amazing service 10/10!

I've been here both pre and post-pandemic, and it's really nice to see that the quality of food is still just as good! I highly recommend coming here for their sushi lunch special as you can get 3 rolls for like 18 dollars which is an amazing deal. Especially because they don't skimp out on the filling. My personal favorite is the eel avocado roll because they really make sure to put as much unagi in there as possible! I've noticed that at other sushi restaurants they try to put as little eel in their rolls as possible but that's not the case at all at Kazoku!
Now, the area it's located in is kind of a little bit sketchy looking not gonna lie but the inside was bright and there was lots of seating. You have to make sure to look at the little board they have at the front of the restaurant to look at their specials! I love getting the chicken katsu here as it's always fried to golden deliciousness, and I also tried their shrimp tempura lunch which comes with about 5 large pieces and I highly recommend this also! The salmon skin roll that I ordered as part of the lunch special was surprisingly crunchy and had a great salty umami flavor that paired perfectly with the rice. The Gangster roll was garlicky and a little spicy from the pepper tuna as well! The Black Dragon was just absolutely fantastic- the shrimp tempura inside and eel avocado on top was the perfect combination. The Infinity roll was super refreshing and bright because of the ponzu sauce and it helped balance out the heavier and richer rolls I had ordered.
Overall, this place has really great sushi at a really great price. Their special rolls are worth ordering too! The service was also very good as our waiter was a kind and helpful older man that helped us navigate the menu. Although it's a bit of a drive from me, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back every once in a while for those eel avocado rolls :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 8, 2023
We only got takeout this time, but i would definitely come back again and eat in the restaurant next time because the atmosphere seemed cute. All the rolls were great, but we liked the shrimp tempura and rainbow rolls the most

This is my go to place which is nearby to me and offers some very nice lunch specials and happy hour menu. Large dining room which can accommodate groups. Full bar and sushi bar. Large menu.
Service can be very good to mediocre. There are 2 servers that work here - hopefully the mediocre one will find a job better suited to his skill set, since food service is clearly not his forte.
PLENTY of parking!
Hope to see you there!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sara W.Denver, CO143915Aug 10, 2023
Very creative delicious rolls, fresh fish, vegetables, and fruit combinations. And the salmon sashimi was so great, almost melted in my mouth!
Make sure to read the specials board, as they have some great options.
Service was prompt and friendly and helpful with a suggestion. Clean and comfortable atmosphere I highly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joe T.Colorado Springs, CO011Feb 10, 2024
