I typically dread foundation work. I fear that am going to get worked by a professional who knows more than I do and can take advantage of me. This was not the case with Allen's. When they conducted their free evaluation of my foundation, they thoroughly and honestly told me everything I needed to know about my foundation. No funny business. They shoot straight and do quality work. I highly recommend them for your next foundation job.

Allen's leveled my manufactured home. The doors and windows all work again! I can lock my front door. Jim, Chad, and crew were all great. I highly recommend this company.

I had an inspection for estimate scheduled for March 8th. The technician came out, inspeceted the foundation, and advised I would hear back via email the following Monday with an estate for repair.
By Thursday of the following week I had yet to hear back from the company. My husband called them requesting they contact us back to discuss the estimate.
It has now been almost 2 full weeks and I have yet to hear back from Allen's Foundation.
Very Disappointing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bob C.New Braunfels, TX27112Nov 24, 2021
Absolutely the worse company to deal with. We had our foundation worked on 2 years ago. When we noticed that our house was shifting again and we had bigger cracks in the walls than before, we called them out because we have a warranty with them. Jim came out and told us it was a plumbing issue. We had a static pressure done on our house and it wasn't the plumbing, we called him back and he still refused to help us. Telling us that we needed to get an engineer out to tell them how to fix the issue. Now that another company has dug up the same areas from before, we have discovered that the job wasn't done correctly at all. There are no piers pressed down below ground level to bed rock. Only one pier was pressed correctly out of 8 on our house and this was the only one that his engineer probably seen with his own eyes and signed off on. Called Allen's Foundation to let them know what was found and all he did was argue with me about what was done. Not taking any ownership that the job was not done correctly. We are really upset about our home and instead of helping us he let the situation escalate because we spent a lot of money for them to do their job correctly and it's upsetting for a company to not understand that sometimes the people you hire don't actually do their jobs right in the first place and do anything to make it right. Stop blaming the Homeowners and make it right. Don't be a jerk to your customers who are upset and just want their money back for a job your team didn't perform correctly. We have pictures from the holes dug and you can clearly see there are no piers in the ground below and the ones above the blocks were easily dug out.

Sir,
This is the second or third different account of your story across multiple platforms. What is true is that you hired another company to tamper with our piers, rather than letting us inspect or test them ourselves. We advised you on multiple occasions that the issues you were having were not in areas we worked on, and therefore not under warranty. This proved to be correct, as you hired another company to come out and do the additional work we recommended.
Allen's Foundation Solutions has a great track record of honoring our warranty, and doing everything we can to assist both new and former customers. Unfortunately, our warranty clearly states that another company tampering with our piers voids the warranty.
For the record, the project was inspected and certified by an independent third party engineering firm, as well as the City of New Braunfels. AFS passed all required inspections. - Cory W.San Antonio, TX05217Aug 20, 2020
Jim came today to give an estimate on leveling. 4th one. He immediately said the house is 6" off and we must have a leak. We don't have a leak, we know exactly why the house is off, along with the numerous other homes in our neighborhood that have already been re-leveled. We knew house is 2.6" off which he confirmed when he finally measured. He said prob is the plumbing leaking under the house, if we re-level it we will ruin it. She said we knew it was not a leak, He raised his voice & told her she did not know what she was talking about. He's been doing this for 40 yrs, we should've leveled the house first then plumbing. If she knew so much about it she should fix the house herself. They should NEVER let Jim Represent them again. My wife will never feel comfortable being alone for estimates etc again n doing this for 40 yrs, we should've leveled the house first then plumbing. If she knew so much about it she should fix the house herself. I can't believe a man thinks it's ok to go into someone else's house and talk to a woman this way. Someone else will get out 10k. This company should NEVER let Jim Represent them again. My wife will never feel comfortable being alone for estimates etc again.

Bought my first home and unfortunately this company did an 11K plumbing/drainage repair on the home for the prior owner weeks before we purchased. Had to call them for necessary paperwork regarding a hydrostatic test for my foundation warranty. (PermaPier who had repaired the foundation only had the original hydrostatic test where the house failed.) So today I called them to secure any sort of evidence that the drainage system on the house had passed. 1st they told me they didn't have a record of that. Then the woman who answered the phone started saying, "We didn't fail anything." Baffling. After 20 minutes of talking in circles, I realized I had entered the Twilight Zone. Finally, after repeating myself in five different ways they started talking about a green piece of paper. And yes, this is what I was asking for. Hope grew in me. The contractor, who had been yelling in the background throughout the conversation, decided the plumber they contracted had "the green slip" and that they would get it for me. I was getting closer!!!! Then they called back 5 min later and gave me the general phone number to the city of San Antonio? wth? This is when I lost it. The reason this company was hired was b/c of a failed hydrostatic test. Wouldn't you think they would have a copy of evidence that the house drainage now passes? Truly one of the worst and weirdest customer service experiences of my life.
With regards to the work they did so far I have to dig out an entire side of my house b/c they placed a pipe so shallow that there is now dirt piled up onto the siding of my house. In Texas that is a termite risk. If the pipe had been dug to a correct depth the dirt would cover the slab foundation only i.e. no termite risk.
Spare yourself the agony of having to deal with these people. Or for entertainment go for it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Unfortunately,
Heather A. was not our customer. As we were not the company that preformed the work she needed information on, our hands were tied as to how much we could actually help her. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I work in real estate and property management. These folks have helped me on several projects. They are small, family owned and honest people. All homes in Central Texas have natural settlement, but Allens Foundation will tell you if repair is necessary or if it's fine left as-is. If you are in process of buying a home or a current owner considering getting a foundation evaluation, I trust these people to give an accurate and fair assessment. Other companies will bid the work - necessary or not. If you want an honest opinion, these are the people to call.
