Founded on Long Island in 1952 by Knapp’s father in law, the late Jerome Greenwald; Sidetex opened in Connecticut in 1978 shortly after Knapp left a career as an award winning news Correspondent with channel-8. Ronni Knapp, Paul’s wife is co-owner. Their younger son, David, joined the business five years ago; becoming the third generation in the family owned and operated business. Headquartered in North Haven, Sidetex has a show room at 89 State St., North Haven in the King Acres Plaza, where they have on display full size windows, doors, siding, kitchen & bath and roofing samples.
