Incompetent. No Common Sense. No Ingenuity. Unreliable. Slow. No attention to detail. This is what comes to mind to describe Rahanna and Terry Thompson and Artathomp Event and Rentals that has left a lasting terrible impression on myself as the bride as well as my guests. I’ll start by listing all the areas in which they failed on my wedding day …. • Special Swarovski pens were bought and given to Rahanna to be used for the signing of the register. When I got to the table to sign the register, no pen was available and one had to be borrowed from the minister (I had to ask for it) • Cake knives were broken by the caterers which no one took responsibility for. • The vase from the sand ceremony was left at the ceremony site and had to be removed by me at an unknown hour of the night. • The photo booth set up which I bought and gave to Rahanna to be set up was left unfinished. The background was poorly put up and the props were left in the box in which it came. I had to set it up myself when I came across it after the reception. Guests had to come and stop me and remind me it was not my job to do so. • Cocktail tables and tablecloths were falling down all over the ceremony site which was outdoors and rather then moving it to an indoor location (where the bar and buffet was situated) after admitting to having to pick it up several times, they left them as is. When I complained they tried to liken the situation to candles being outed by wind and they could not be expected to keep re-lighting candles. Common Sense was not included in the package, clearly. • Flowers which I purchased for the centre pieces were simply taped together and placed in empty glass jars. I was charged a fee for arrangement. This is where I suspected that they were more concerned with fees than actually doing a proper job. • Table numbers which I purchased and gave to her never made it to the table. • A sign pointing to the ceremony never saw the light of day and was neatly stacked on top the table numbers on a table at the wedding venue. • Multiple members of the wedding party complained that Rahanna was nowhere to be found on the wedding day and arrived only a couple hours before the start of the ceremony. She claims they were lying, however the wedding took place at a villa and I don’t believe she should have been very hard to locate as vendors began asking whomever they saw at the villa what to do with the things they brought. • Many other favours including personalized napkins never made it to the wedding. • My signing table which should have been a pictures with a border for signing never came into existence. Again, these pictures were given to her. • Last but certainly not least, all the day of co-ordination had to be done by a guest of mine who was thankfully a wedding planner (I had not hired her as this was a destination wedding and she lived in my home country). She clearly noticed Rahanna’s incompetence and as my friend took over to ensure everything ran smoothly and what an excellent job she did …. Give it up for STN Management Company. When I addressed this issues they simply brushed it off and pretended they had no idea what I was speaking about, which they probably didn’t seeing as they didn’t seem to know much. Unfortunately, I tried to plan an overseas wedding with the wrong company and I would never be able to recommend them to anyone.
